Fashion's Night Out

Everything from Chrisitian Louboutin stilletoes, to platforms, to open toe sandals to baby shoes all walks of life entered the Houston Galleria’s Neiman Marcus Thursday night to experience this years’ Vogue Magazine’s Fashion’s Night Out.

On every level there was something that men and women could enjoy like the free bubbly, exclusive make-overs and runway shows.  It looked like Christmas Eve the way every cosmetic counter were filled with a sea of shoppers.  Instead of buying last minute gifts they were practicing their eyelid stroke, or even purchasing the latest fall colors.  Giveaways were a must, and there was no way fashionistas could get around smelling the sweet smells and the garden scents that breezed through the air on the first level.

The thought of the sweet smells continued to travel right past the mind once the smell of lobster balls and sushi entered the brain.  Caterers such as Voice, RDG + Bar Annie, Gigi’s Asian Bistro & Dumpling Bar, La Torretta del Lago, Del Frisco’s, Gravitas, Cakes by Gina, RA Sushi, My Fit Foods and Hotel ZaZa’s Monarch all provided the tummy rubbers, the sweets, and the martinis.

Some fashionistas conversed about their wardrobe’s this season, as others listened to a book interview with the self proclaimed “red” and “black” duo, Tina Pennington and Mandy Williams.  The self-published book What I Learned about Life When My Husband Got Fired! is only sold in Neiman Marcus stores and the suggested retail price is about $25 bucks.

As the night ended with DJ Martin on the one’s and two’s, there were frequent calls for refills on booze as well as hearty laughs exuding fashion lovers mouths.  Inspiration filled the minds of every spectator, while about 15 models pounced down the cheetah print runway in the most trendiest looks this season.  With red silk dresses,  sequined statement shoes, animal prints and huge faux croc skinned bags in the fall wardrobe, ladies should definitely come out of their boring wardrobe shells.  This season is much of a quiet but seductive look for men.  With plenty of charcoal gray sweaters and vests, muscle gripping plaid shirts and form fitting black pants should do the trick of reeling the ladies in this season.

The atmosphere was so electric that one might have thought Chanel Iman was gracing us with her modeling talents or Giuseppi Zanotti was behind the curtain and waiting on the curtain call.  Until the next runway let the fall shopping season begin!
